When the market is thin and rotational, keeping it simple is the edge, so here's how I'm trading these conditions. - Take fewer trades. Only the A+ idea gets capital and second or third best ideas are how you bleed in chop. - Hold fewer positions at once. More positions means more attention spread thin and more correlated risk when BTC turns. - Take profit on alts when they've made a large move and BTC is pushing into resistance. That's usually where the alt bid disappears first. - Trade your own plan. Don't wait for someone else's TP and SL levels, Market is too reactive, lots of headlines, things change quick. - Don't assume new money is coming in. Pipe dream we have been preached on for too long already. Nothing confirms it yet so treat this as a rotation game where speed beats conviction. - Don't buy into strength at the highs. 9/10 it fails unless there's a confirmed breakout with real follow-through. - Cut fast when the trade is invalidated or Pa is off. In a speed game, hoping is more expensive than being wrong. - Size down. Smaller positions keep you calm enough to follow your plan and in chop the goal is to compound smaller wins with a linear PnL Curve, not to make it all back on one trade. - Stick to the main coin and skip the far-fetched beta, in thin liquidity the proxies are the first to dump and the last to bounce. - Decide whether a trade is a scalp or a swing before you enter, and don't let a failed scalp turn into a hopeful swing.
