As reported by DL News, the US Treasury Department has indicted Ryan James Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder, for leading a major drug trafficking enterprise. Authorities allege that Wedding and his associates used five blockchain networks — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, and BNB Chain — to launder funds from trafficking cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin. The Office of Foreign Assets Control has sanctioned 12 crypto addresses linked to the case, with three directly attributed to Wedding on the Tron network. Wedding is now on the FBI’s top 10 most wanted list, and the reward for his arrest has been increased to $15 million.
