Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has selected Chainlink CCIP to power a new bridge for $7 billion in wrapped assets. The protocol will support cross-chain transfers of assets like cbBTC and cbETH. Chainlink CCIP, a secure messaging layer between blockchains, was chosen for its reliability. The bridge will let users move wrapped assets across networks. Key assets include cbBTC, cbETH, cbDOGE, cbLTC, cbADA, and cbXRP. The integration aims to boost security and liquidity for multi-chain DeFi. Challenges include scaling and user experience. The move strengthens blockchain interoperability.
