Hoskinson emphasized Midnight’s role in preserving privacy and resisting centralized oversight, particularly in light of EU proposals like the Digital Identity Wallet. Midnight, a privacy-focused sidechain developed by IOG, uses zero-knowledge proofs to allow users to interact with dApps and store data without revealing their identity. Hoskinson’s comments follow recent statements by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who called for ending online anonymity at the WEF in Davos.
