BitMEX stated that its parent company, HDR Global Trading Limited, has decided to close the exchange following a strategic review by its board of directors. The platform will continue operating normally until closure, but starting at 12:00 (Beijing Time) on August 26, new positions will be restricted—users may only reduce existing positions. Any remaining open positions after the closure time will be forcibly liquidated.
