A lot of crypto projects create value around a token, a protocol, or a narrative that exists entirely within the digital economy. @goldfishggbr takes a different approach: Start with gold. Build the digital experience around it. That distinction matters. Gold has survived market cycles, economic uncertainty and generations of financial innovation. But owning physical gold can still come with barriers, storage, accessibility, liquidity and the difficulty of using a physical asset in a digital economy. Goldfish is trying to bridge that gap. With , the idea is to bring gold exposure into the onchain world while giving users the advantages of blockchain rails. Fractional access. Digital ownership. Onchain movement. 24/7 market accessibility. And an ecosystem designed around a real-world asset rather than another purely speculative narrative. What I find particularly interesting is the in-situ gold concept, connecting the token to gold reserves that remain in the ground rather than requiring the gold to be extracted simply to create the digital asset. That's a different way of thinking about RWA. The goal isn't to make gold “crypto.” It's to make the benefits of blockchain available around an asset that people already understand and trust. And that's where Goldfish could have an interesting edge. Because the future of Web3 doesn't necessarily have to be about creating thousands of new things to speculate on. It can also be about taking existing stores of value and financial assets and making them more accessible, liquid, transparent and programmable. That's the bigger thesis behind for me. Gold gives it the foundation. Blockchain gives it the rails. The ecosystem gives it utility.
