Luca Netz, CEO of Pudgy Penguins, says being a crypto founder is a game of regaining attention after you've lost it. "So if something is a narrative, and then CT just migrates their attention to something else a week from now, do I lose conviction in it? Most of the time, 'cause crypto is an attention asset, it's going to go down in price, and you're more likely to lose conviction in the fact that it's going down in price. But narratives do come back. Narratives are circular in that sense. I do believe that if you don't believe in the narrative after the price goes down, then that's when I think probably the narrative is cooked." "What I've learned is crypto is a game of getting attention, losing it, and getting it back. As a founder, and as a community, and as a group of traders, that is your ultimate test. Can you get attention? Can you lose it? Can you get it back? Can you lose it? Can you get it? In terms of the publicly available asset, and the success of that asset, that's really the barometer of what it all comes down to." Krutzky: "It seems relatively easy to get that first shot of attention, and it's even easier to lose it. What is the best way to get it back?" Luca: "I felt like every year since we've been here at Pudgy Penguins, we always did one thing that really just made everyone talk about us. I think every year for the last four years, there's been one thing that we've done that has been a top five or six moment in the entire industry. Whether it was getting in Walmart for the first time at the depths of the bear, the only one to fucking do something real, it felt like at the time." "Right off the backs of this CTO and takeover, to a $1.5 billion airdrop to literally every wallet in existence, pretty much, to some of the things that we've done on the chain side or the sphere. There's a lot of things that I feel like we've done to always regain attention and excitement, and to put the spotlight back on us."
