The biggest upgrade to Indian real estate investment is being built right now in Mumbai. Maharashtra is drafting the Digitisation and Exchange of Land Token Asset (DELTA) Act. This brings blockchain straight into property ownership laws. Most real-world asset tokenization efforts stall globally because they lack strong state-backed legal frameworks. By giving clear legal definitions for digital property rights, this legislation removes the biggest roadblock for large-scale capital. Linking state land registries to a verifiable ledger creates a transparent, investor-friendly pool. Capital can now flow into real estate with full certainty on titles and zero regulatory ambiguity. Great to see initiatives moving in the right direction. Building a legally compliant bridge between physical properties and blockchain networks will fundamentally upgrade how institutional capital moves.
