Most people lose money on the news for one simple reason: by the time the news reaches you, someone else has already profited from it. A big headline comes out. "Wow, this is a great opportunity." Buying. And then - a red briefcase and questions about what went wrong. The problem is that in crypto, the most profitable trades rarely happen at the moment the news is published. They happen much earlier. Just look at memecoins. Most people learn about them when the coin has already risen by hundreds of percent, and everyone on Twitter is writing, "This is just the beginning." But at that point, someone has been monitoring wallets for several days, noticing unusual transfers, watching the volume increase, and gradually accumulating a position. Because on the blockchain, surprises aren't as common as it seems. More often than not, an "unexpected opportunity" is simply an event that someone noticed before you. And while most people are reading the news, those who were ahead have already bought in, driven the price up, and started locking in profits. In crypto, money is usually made not from information, but from the speed of its comprehension. Or, more importantly, from the ability to spot signals before they become news.
