As he said, leaving post-quantum readiness to open source really doesn't make any sense. If a vulnerability is found in open source, it wouldn't just be a problem for one DeFi protocol getting hacked, it would become a fundamental issue for the Cardano network itself, potentially leading to the collapse of the entire ecosystem. The reason why Cardano Vision 2026: Human Centred, Scalable, Post Quantum Secure - IO Research matters is because this market is fundamentally driven by technology. @solana upcoming Alpenglow upgrade is being built through years of academic research and formal verification. It's an upgrade that fundamentally redesigns the consensus mechanism itself. I've criticized Solana many times in the past, but this upgrade is on a completely different level. I personally think it's an outstanding upgrade that addresses the finality and stability issues that have been baked into Solana's architecture from the start. And the reason this is even possible is because it's built on a rigorous research foundation. @IOGroup's research-driven development culture has to continue. This is the fundamental edge that Cardano has in this market, and it's also the very reason I was drawn to Cardano in the first place. I sincerely hope this proposal passes.
