ZetaChain has proposed a token migration to Solana, with a plan to burn 55 million ZETA by 2027 to optimize asset allocation. Monthly burns will reduce the token supply, and the foundation has committed to not selling any newly unlocked tokens in 2027. Minting rights will be permanently revoked following the migration, scheduled for December 9, 2026. Governance voting concludes on November 7. This move may improve the risk-to-reward profile for long-term holders.

ME News reports that on November 5 (UTC+8), ZetaChain announced it has submitted its second governance proposal to migrate ZETA to Solana, with voting now open. According to the proposal, the project plans to cumulatively burn approximately 55 million ZETA tokens by the end of 2027 through monthly scheduled burns, reducing the total token supply.
Additionally, ZetaChain commits to not selling any newly unlocked ZETA from the foundation allocation for the entirety of 2027. After the migration is complete, ZETA will no longer be minted, and the token minting authority will be permanently revoked.
As planned, ZETA intends to migrate to Solana on a 1:1 basis on December 9, 2026, subject to approval via governance voting. This vote will last 72 hours and conclude on November 7. (Source: ODAILY)
