ME News reports that on September 7 (UTC+8), Yunfeng Financial, in which Jack Ma holds an indirect stake, announced it has been added to the list of eligible securities under the Stock Connect programs for Hong Kong stocks, effective September 7, 2026. Following this inclusion, qualified mainland investors will be able to buy and sell the company’s shares listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange through domestic securities firms via the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs, providing a more convenient channel for mainland investors to invest in Yunfeng Financial’s shares. Previously, Yunfeng Financial disclosed that it had accumulated a total of 10,000 ETH on the open market, with a total investment cost (including fees and expenses) of $44 million, funded from the company’s internal cash reserves. The purchased ETH are classified as investment assets on the company’s financial statements. Yunfeng Financial also stated that, in addition to Ethereum, it plans to explore incorporating other mainstream digital assets such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL) into its strategic reserve assets.
