XRP is expanding deeper into regulated derivatives infrastructure as Canadian-listed ETF options gain a clearer route into the U.S. market.
The move adds to XRP’s broader institutional adoption, which has already accelerated through CME futures, options and ETF products.
A Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation filing lists options on the Evolve XRP ETF (XRP) and Purpose XRP ETF (XRPP) among Montréal Exchange contracts covered by CDCC’s Form S-20 registration for sale in the United States.
The key point is not that XRP options suddenly launched on a U.S. exchange. They remain Canadian-listed contracts, cleared by CDCC. The filing instead highlights how Canadian XRP products are becoming accessible through a regulated cross-border derivatives framework.
XRP ETF Options Already Sit Inside Cross-Border Infrastructure
The contracts are traded on the Montréal Exchange and cleared by CDCC, with Form S-20 covering their offer and sale in the U.S.
That creates a regulated route for eligible U.S. participants to gain options exposure linked to Canadian XRP ETFs without relying on offshore perpetual markets.
The structure also places XRP alongside Bitcoin, Ether and Solana ETF options in the same derivatives framework.
And this is not entirely new. Earlier 2026 SEC exhibits already listed both the Evolve XRP ETF and Purpose XRP ETF options. The latest filing therefore reinforces their presence rather than marking a first-ever approval.
Federal Rules Also Put XRP Beside BTC, ETH and SOL
A separate Federal Register filing adds another important layer.
The document identifies Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and XRP as assets that currently qualify under generic listing standards for commodity-based trust shares.
That does not amount to a blanket declaration that every XRP transaction is a commodity transaction.
But it is significant for market structure because XRP is being treated alongside BTC, ETH and SOL when regulators and exchanges discuss which digital assets can support listed investment products.
That fits with the broader expansion of XRP derivatives in traditional finance.
CME XRP futures and options generated $13 billion in Q1 2026 notional volume, while cumulative XRP futures trading later surpassed $62 billion.
We have also tracked the growth of CME derivatives and XRP’s move toward 24/7 futures trading.
