Visa Expands Crypto Services to 40 Countries, Stablecoin Transaction Volume Hits $2.5 Billion

According to Bijié Wǎng, Visa has expanded its cryptocurrency services to support four major stablecoins—USDT, USDC, PYUSD, and USDB—on Ethereum, Solana, Stellar, and Avalanche blockchains. These can be instantly converted into over 25 fiat currencies. The company reported that the annualized transaction volume for stablecoin settlements reached $2.5 billion, with over 14 billion cryptocurrency transactions processed since 2020. Visa also launched a tokenization platform to allow banks to mint and burn stablecoins, enhancing liquidity for remittances and cross-border payments. Currently, the Visa network supports more than 130 stablecoin-linked card programs in 40 countries.
