Key Insights:
- XLM price eyes bullish breakout as U.S. Bank wraps up its USBDC stablecoin pilot on Stellar.
- RSI is at 52.43, indicating balanced momentum, and MACD is slightly bullish on the daily chart.
- A break above $0.20 could target $0.21-$0.22, while $0.178 remains key support.
XLM price traded near $0.180 on Sept. 10 after retreating from the $0.19 area. The decline came despite a new institutional milestone for Stellar. U.S. Bank confirmed its first live USBDC cross-border pilot on the network on Sept. 9. Stellar also added USDT0 earlier this month, expanding access to USDT-linked liquidity.
XLM Price Reacts as U.S. Bank Tests USBDC on Stellar
U.S. Bank confirmed the live USBDC transaction on September 9 through an official company announcement. USBDC is the bank’s proprietary dollar-backed stablecoin and remains part of a pilot program.
The bank tested minting, redemption, freezing, and clawback functions during the transaction. U.S. Bank also tested its internally developed Digital Asset Platform alongside Stellar.
Gunjan Kedia, U.S. Bank chairman and CEO, said the pilot demonstrated faster global cash management capabilities. The bank is also examining liquidity management, collateral mobility, and cross-border treasury operations.
USBDC currently differs from retail stablecoins because the bank has not announced general customer availability. The pilot involved U.S. Bank entities rather than external customers.
Stellar On-Chain Data Shows Growing Institutional Asset Activity
Stellar already has a large tokenized asset market before USBDC moves beyond testing. According to RWA.xyz, there were around $3.32 billion in distributed asset value on September 8.
In addition, Stellar has processed around $387.92 million in stablecoin market capitalization and about 706,000 stablecoin holders. Spiko led Stellar’s distributed asset rankings with approximately $1.6 billion.

Franklin Templeton Benji assets stood near $527.5 million, while Ondo accounted for about $535.5 million. Those figures show that tokenized financial assets already represent a material part of Stellar activity.
USDT0 has added another source of dollar liquidity to the network. Stellar said USDT0 maintains unified liquidity backed by USDT rather than separate wrapped token pools.
XLM Price Prediction: Can Stellar Break Above $0.20?
According to the Stellar 1-day price chart, XLM is trading around $0.1884 after recovering from the August lows and has managed to stay near the $0.19 resistance level.
On the daily chart, the price of Stellar has bounced back from the $0.155 support level and is moving towards the $0.20 level. However, buyers have struggled to keep XLM above the $0.19-$0.20 resistance zone.
As the XLM price recovers, the 14-day Relative Strength Index stands at 52.43, slightly above the neutral 50 level. If the RSI is above 50, the buying pressure has the upper hand, the momentum is limited. The MACD is also generating a mild bullish signal, as the blue line is near $0.00304 and above the signal line at $0.00268, suggesting that bulls may have more momentum.

In addition, the histogram remains positive, indicating bullish momentum has not disappeared as buying pressure increases. However, the narrow gap between both lines suggests momentum remains modest.
XLM therefore needs a sustained move above $0.19 and $0.20 before the current recovery can strengthen. A daily close above $0.20 could open a move toward $0.21 and $0.22.
On the downside, immediate support sits between $0.178 and $0.180. Losing that range could expose $0.170, while stronger selling could bring $0.155 to $0.160 back into focus.
