CoinDesk reports:

Data shows that the total value of real-world assets (RWA) on the Solana chain has risen to approximately $2.95 billion, reaching a new high. Statistics from rwa.xyz also indicate that the number of holders of these assets has surpassed 277,000 for the first time, reflecting continued growth in Solana’s activity in the tokenization of traditional financial assets.

The number of holders is growing in tandem with the number of asset types.

Currently, there are over 1,840 RWA assets on the Solana network. By volume, stablecoins remain the largest category, but the share of tokenized equities, credit products, and other institutional assets is growing.

This change indicates that Solana’s RWA ecosystem is no longer reliant on a single asset type, and its on-chain product structure is becoming more diverse.

Tokenized stock trading continues to lead the way.

Blockworks data shows that Solana has led for 54 consecutive weeks in tokenized stock trading volume, surpassing the combined total of all other blockchains. The article notes that this trend reflects growing market demand for 24/7 tradable financial products and accelerating competition among issuers.

A major driver of recent trading activity has been tokenized products related to SpaceX stock. Backpack and Sunrise have launched redeemable $SPCX tokens, xStocks has introduced $SPCXx, and Ondo has launched $SPCXon, enabling Solana users to gain on-chain exposure to SpaceX stock.

SpaceX-related products drive trading volume.

After these products launched, trading volume surged rapidly. Approximately two hours after launch, the combined trading volume of the three products reached about $7.58 million. By later in the first day, Backpack’s $SPCX alone recorded approximately $37 million in trading volume within the first seven hours.

Institutional assets continue to expand on-chain.

In addition to tokenized stocks, institutional asset issuers continue to enter Solana. On June 12, Securitize expanded its Securitize Tokenized AAA CLO Fund (STAC) to Solana. The fund focuses on AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), with BNY Mellon serving as the custodian of the underlying assets and BNY Investments providing sub-advisory services.

Meanwhile, Ethena Labs stated it plans to allocate $250 million to this product, making it one of the larger-scale allocations toward tokenized structured credit products within the Solana ecosystem.

STAC primarily offers AAA-rated CLO tranches denominated in U.S. dollars, with assets sourced from both primary and secondary markets. The article states that the strategy does not employ leverage and aims to generate risk-adjusted returns through floating-rate structured credit.
