ChainCatcher report: On October 31, the Cosmos ecosystem NFT marketplace Talis Protocol posted on X that an attacker exploited a vulnerability in its market and auction contracts on Injective, resulting in approximately 5,700 NFTs held in custody being withdrawn and sold into public collection listings. Talis stated that it has suspended new listings and auctions on Injective and has returned over 26,000 NFTs from the contract to their respective holders. As a precaution, new listings and auctions on other chains have also been paused; users are advised not to buy, list, or bid on Talis until the fix is confirmed secure, though users may still cancel unfulfilled offers. If listings or auctions disappear, users should check their wallets. The project confirmed that the patched contract is ready and undergoing review prior to deployment, with a timeline to be announced shortly. The team has recorded every affected NFT, its holder prior to the theft, and each成交 price, and is developing a plan to return the NFTs to their original owners and compensate the bidders; an official list of affected assets will be published—do not purchase these NFTs during this period. Talis also emphasized that it will never request users to connect their wallets via direct messages to claim anything; a full post-incident report will be released shortly. RootData shows that Talis Protocol was founded in 2021 and completed a $2.35 million private funding round in November of the same year.
