Synthetix launched its perpetual contracts DEX on Ethereum mainnet on December 19, 2025. The protocol uses a hybrid CLOB model with on-chain custody and off-chain matching to reduce latency and gas costs. It initially offers BTC, ETH, and SOL perpetuals with up to 50x leverage. Future plans include multi-collateral margin, RWA support, and incentives. Liquidity is managed via the SLP Vault, as the protocol aims to lead CLOB perpetuals on Ethereum mainnet.
