Synthetix has brought its DEX back to Ethereum mainnet, ending its Layer-2 operation since 2022. The perpetual futures platform uses off-chain matching and on-chain settlement to boost scalability. A private beta with 500 users launched first, offering access to BTC, ETH, and SOL pairs. Withdrawals are paused and will resume after a week. The move follows Ethereum’s mainnet upgrades and lower gas fees, which the team cited as key reasons for the return to the mainnet in the crypto space.
