As reported by Chainthink, Sygnum's 2025 Asia High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) report reveals that 87% of surveyed high-net-worth individuals in the Asia-Pacific region already hold cryptocurrencies, with an average allocation of approximately 17%. The survey, which included 270 HNWIs and experienced investors from 10 countries, found that 60% plan to increase their crypto holdings over the next two to five years. Half of the respondents have a crypto allocation above 10%, and 80% hold major blockchain protocol tokens like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The most common reason cited for investing in crypto was portfolio diversification, according to 56% of respondents. Sygnum co-founder Gerald Goh noted that the 17% allocation reflects a shift from speculative behavior to long-term, intergenerational wealth planning.
