As per TheStreet Crypto, Step Group, an early Solana-based company, announced on Nov. 5 that it will shut down its Step Finance dashboard and shift focus to its media and analytics platforms, SolanaFloor and Remora. The company cited declining DeFi activity and infrastructure costs as reasons for the restructuring. Step Finance, launched in February 2021, once served 300,000 monthly active users. Users are advised to withdraw funds and seek alternatives as the dashboard, APIs, and mobile app will cease operations next month. No layoffs will occur, and the native token remains unaffected. The company will also launch Step Ventures, an investment arm focused on real-world opportunities.
