S.BLOX operates in the Asian market under the control of Sony On-Chain Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation that completed the acquisition of the exchange platform in August 2023. The technical integration allows local users to access new trading pairs within an environment regulated by Japanese financial authorities.
Ecosystem Expansion and Midnight’s Debut in the Japanese Market

Through a post on X, the leadership of S.BLOX confirmed the immediate availability of ADA transactions. Simultaneously, the company announced the listing of the NIGHT token, the native asset developed for Midnight, the privacy-focused sidechain of the Cardano ecosystem.
The addition of NIGHT marks the first time this asset has entered a domestic exchange in Japan. Corporate documentation from S.BLOX confirmed that no other domestic operator had technical support for the token prior to this announcement.
To drive adoption following the launch, the company rolled out two promotional programs. Registered users can qualify for rewards of up to 10,000 yen in ADA and bonuses of up to 14,000 yen in NIGHT upon meeting the operational requirements set by the exchange.
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, addressed the listing during a recent livestream. According to the executive, integrating these assets in Japan represents a significant step forward given the rigorous technical evaluation and compliance processes required by the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA).
The Midnight protocol launched its mainnet technical operations in March 2026, while the issuance of the NIGHT token took place in December 2025. Market reports suggest that being enabled on a Sony-backed exchange could bolster liquidity for both assets across the Asian region during the current operating quarter.
The S.BLOX platform will continue running its promotional campaigns tied to ADA and NIGHT throughout August 2026, according to the schedule published on its official channels.
