At the Solana Breakpoint conference on December 12, co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko revealed he no longer has commit access to the Solana GitHub. He explained that decentralization in crypto doesn’t mean no leadership, but rather a shift to multiple leaders emerging from the community and ecosystem. Yakovenko said the network now runs independently, and he now sees his role as a spectator.
