Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB) has launched a zero-fee stablecoin minting service on the Solana blockchain, enabling clients to convert USD and SGD into USDC and USDT without transaction or gas fees. The service was announced at Solana Breakpoint 2025 in Abu Dhabi and is aimed at corporate clients for treasury and cross-border payments. Regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain, SGB is backed by Whampoa Group and Mumtalakat. The bank has processed over $7 billion in transactions since entering the market. What is notable is the seamless integration of blockchain with traditional finance.
