The Shiba Inu ecosystem has drawn criticism after the @shibtoken account promoted external tokens like HACHI and Shiro Neko. The account, widely seen as the official Shiba Inu voice on X, recently highlighted a Solana-based token with a contract address starting with 'x95', mirroring Shiba Inu's '0x95' identifier. Users claim the move blurred the lines between projects. The Oscar Token team and others have called out the account for straying from its original token mission. Past promotions, including the Shiro Neko dual-staking event, also caused confusion despite warnings from Susbarium. Despite the backlash, @shibtoken remains influential and continues to shape market sentiment.
