Citing Bijiwang, the Shiba Inu team has announced a major privacy upgrade for Shibarium and BONE, supported by Zama's ZK technology. The Zama and Kohaku upgrades will enable private, quantum-resistant smart contracts on Shibarium. The public testnet is now live on Sepolia, with plans to launch on Ethereum in Q4 2025 and expand to other EVM chains and Solana in 2026. The upgrade will also integrate privacy pools and quantum-safe signatures, increasing gas costs for private transactions, which will be paid in BONE. SHIB has also partnered with TokenPlay AI to become an in-app utility token for Shiba-themed applications.
