Ready has announced the closure of its crypto credit card service following Kulipa’s sudden shutdown. This decision impacts partnerships with over 20 crypto wallets, including Solflare. Users will receive automatic refunds, and their assets remain secure in their self-custody wallets. Kulipa’s collapse also prompted industry-wide updates regarding project funding, resulting in Solflare cards ceasing to function. Both Ready and Solflare rely on direct wallet deductions, meaning Kulipa never held any user funds.

Odaily Planet Daily reports: Itamar Lesuisse posted on X that the card issuer Kulipa unexpectedly shut down, and Ready received no prior notice. Ready, the self-custody wallet formerly known as Argent, has ceased its crypto credit card project as of Wednesday. Eligible card subscriptions will be automatically refunded, and user assets remain unaffected due to Ready’s self-custody nature. Kulipa built card programs for approximately 20 crypto wallets and fintech companies; its collapse also impacted Solana wallet Solflare, which announced on Tuesday that its card had stopped functioning. Both Ready’s and Solflare’s cards were designed to deduct funds directly from users’ wallets at the time of purchase, so Kulipa held no customer balances at the time of its shutdown.
