ChainCatcher report: The NFT marketplace OpenSea has reinstated support for Solana NFT trading. Users can now buy and sell Solana-chain NFT collections on the platform, including popular series such as Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, BoDoggos, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals. This marks the first time since OpenSea initially introduced Solana NFT support in a test version in April 2022—over four years ago—that Solana has once again become the platform’s first non-EVM chain for NFT trading. An OpenSea representative stated that OS2 is a multi-chain platform rebuilt from the ground up, initially launching with Solana token support and now adding NFT support, aligning with the growing trend of collectible platforms adopting Solana NFTs. In April 2025, Solana returned to OpenSea alongside OS2, but at that time only fungible tokens were supported, with the official statement indicating that NFT support would follow shortly. Currently, nearly all other networks supported by the platform are EVM-compatible, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Monad, Sei, and Berachain. This relaunch comes as the NFT market remains far below its peak levels. According to data from The Block, monthly trading volume reached billions of dollars during 2021–2022 but has now declined to hundreds of millions of dollars.

OpenSea has resumed Solana NFT trading, reintroducing support for the first time since April 2022. Users can now trade popular collections such as Claynosaurz and Mad Lads. The update aligns with OS2, OpenSea’s new multichain platform, which initially launched with Solana token support and now extends to NFTs. Trading volume on OpenSea remains below previous peaks, with monthly figures in the hundreds of millions. This follows earlier Solana support for fungible tokens in April 2025, with NFT trading now live. Current support includes EVM chains such as Ethereum and Polygon. Trading activity has not yet returned to 2021–2022 levels.
