ChainCatcher report: OpenSea has announced the addition of Solana NFT trading on OS2, allowing collectors to now browse, buy, and sell Solana digital collectibles on the platform, with series such as Mad Lads and Claynosaurz available at launch. The August 31 release extends OpenSea’s Solana services beyond fungible tokens. The company stated that collectors can use the platform without switching wallets or accessing multiple marketplaces, while Solana creators gain a new channel to reach buyers. OpenSea’s OS2 version, released in May 2025, already supported fungible token trading across 19 chains, including Solana; this new NFT support completes the platform’s Solana functionality. OpenSea said users can now buy, sell, trade, and bid on top Solana collections. This move positions OpenSea in more direct competition with existing Solana marketplaces such as Magic Eden and Tensor.
