Midnight, a privacy-focused sidechain of Cardano, will distribute the tokens via a program called 'Glacier Drop' to holders of BTC, ETH, and ADA. The NIGHT token will serve as a utility token within the Midnight ecosystem, including the generation of 'DUST' for network transaction fees. Midnight is developed in collaboration with Google Cloud, which operates critical infrastructure and a validator node on the network. The project has sparked debate over potential centralization risks due to corporate involvement.
