ChainCatcher report: Solana staking protocol Marinade has released its Q3 2026 report. As of September 30, its total SOL staked amounted to 7.94 million, a 21.2% quarter-over-quarter increase, primarily driven by growth in its non-custodial native staking product, Native, and its institutional offering, Select. Native staking volume rose 47.3% quarter-over-quarter to approximately 3.77 million SOL, while Select increased 38.7% to approximately 1.68 million SOL. mSOL decreased 6.8% quarter-over-quarter to approximately 2.27 million SOL. Q3 revenue reached approximately $1 million, equivalent to 10,918 SOL, up 25.9% quarter-over-quarter, primarily due to a 38.1% increase in validator commission settlement income. In the quarter’s 51 epochs, the staking auction market achieved a higher yield than the Solana staking index in 48 of them; the average yield before Marinade fees was 5.93%, compared to the index’s 5.67% over the same period. On governance, since MIP-22 took effect in July, Marinade has allocated 10% of auction fees to repurchase MNDE on the open market. During Q3, a total of 4.2 million MNDE were repurchased using 906.6 SOL, with the first distribution opening on October 1. The report also disclosed that on September 25, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the DAO voting process to submit two malicious proposals, one of which involved transferring DAO treasury assets; the board rejected both proposals within approximately six hours, and the vulnerability was patched that same night, with no funds transferred.
