Strive added 1,223 BTC at $81,734 average. Bitmine, the largest Ethereum news holder, purchased 12,535 ETH, bringing its total to 6,041,481 ETH. DeFi Development Corp. added 3,983 Solana, now holding 2.59 million SOL ahead of the Alpenglow upgrade.

Bitcoin started the new week with a recovery, pushing the price above $82,000. However, despite the recovery, uncertainty for BTC persists, while treasury companies continued their purchases this week as well.

Firstly, Strategy, the world’s largest publicly traded Bitcoin holder, also made purchases this week.

According to a statement by Strategy founder Michael Saylor, Strategy purchased an additional 267 Bitcoin. This brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 848,517 BTC. The company also repurchased STRC preferred shares worth $193 million.

Saylor noted that Strategy also holds $5.3 billion in assets, adding that the company’s dollar-denominated assets could cover current preferred stock dividends and interest payments for approximately 3.4 years.

“Strategy purchased 267 BTC and repurchased STRC worth $193 million. As of October 18, 2026, we hold 848,517 BTC and $5.3 billion USD in assets.”

Besides Strategy, Strive also purchased an additional 1,223 Bitcoin last week. Strive CEO Matt Cole announced in a post on his X account that they bought 1,223 BTC last week at an average price of $81,734. With this purchase, Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings increased to 36,818 BTC.

Ethereum Purchases Continue!

Bitmine, the world’s largest holder of Ethereum, also announced last week that it purchased an additional 12,535 ETH, bringing its total holdings to 6,041,481 ETH. According to the announcement, this represents 4.9% of the total circulating ETH supply.

The official statement indicated that Bitmine’s total assets, including cryptocurrency, cash, marketable securities, and strategic investment assets, amount to $15.1 billion.

This figure includes 6.04 million ETH, 215 Bitcoin, $582 million in cash and marketable securities, $180 million worth of Beast Industries shares, and $74 million worth of Eightco Holdings shares.

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee stated, “We believe Bitmine will outperform the crypto bull market we anticipate, given that it strengthened its competitive position last year amidst the crypto winter (bear market). We acquired 12,535 ETH last week. Bitmine’s consistent success in purchasing cryptocurrencies is unparalleled by any publicly traded company in the world. Bitmine has purchased ETH every week since the launch of its ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025.”

Solana Procurement Announced Too!

Last week, Nasdaq-listed company DeFi Development Corp. announced it had purchased an additional 3,983 Solana, bringing its total SOL holdings to 2.59 million. The company also stated that it generated additional SOL and commission revenue by using its SOL holdings for staking and operating its own validator.

This acquisition comes just two days before the rollout of Alpenglow, a significant upgrade to Solana’s consensus protocol. CEO Joseph Onorati stated, “We believe Solana is entering a significant new growth cycle as Alpenglow enhances the network’s capabilities and expands the role of tokenization in global finance. We will also be increasing the annual dividend of our variable-rate Series C perpetual preferred stock, ‘CHAD,’ to 14%. This strengthens our income offering at a time when we believe there could be a major bull market for SOL. Our aim is to make CHAD more attractive to income investors while also expanding our SOL accumulation capacity for common shareholders.”
