Jito BAM preconfirmations launched on September 9, 2026, marking a major token launch news event for Solana validators. The system streams transaction data to traders and apps, with over 34% of network stake already on board via Helius and Triton. Revenue splits are 30% to partners, 35% to BAM validators, and 35% to the Jito DAO. Validators using AgaveBAM or FireBAM can join automatically, with payouts starting in October 2026. The system uses TEEs to reduce harmful MEV. Inflation data remains stable as the network scales.

Solana validators just got a raise. Jito’s BAM preconfirmations launched on September 9, creating a new revenue layer for validators willing to stream committed transaction data to traders and applications hungry for speed.

The system already covers more than 34% of Solana’s total network stake, thanks to launch partnerships with infrastructure providers Helius and Triton.

How the revenue split works

BAM preconfirmations pipe a low-latency stream of transactions that participating validators have already executed. Traders doing arbitrage or market making, where a 10-millisecond advantage can mean the difference between profit and loss, are the obvious customers.

Early testing showed a 5-10ms advantage at the p50 latency mark.

The economics follow a clean three-way split. Distribution partners like Helius and Triton take 30% of revenue generated. BAM validators receive 35%, allocated proportionally based on their stake weight through priority fees. The remaining 35% flows to the Jito DAO treasury.

Validators running either AgaveBAM or FireBAM clients can participate automatically. Those who’d rather sit this one out can opt out through Discord, with a self-service toggle planned for a future release.

Actual revenue generation for participating validators is expected to begin in October 2026.

From early mainnet to 34% stake coverage

BAM itself isn’t new. The system reached early mainnet around September 25, 2025, roughly a year before preconfirmations went live. In the intervening months, hundreds of validators adopted BAM-compatible clients, building the foundation that made this week’s launch possible.

The underlying architecture uses Trusted Execution Environments, or TEEs, which are specialized hardware enclaves that process data in isolation from the rest of the system. In BAM’s case, TEEs enforce privacy mandates during transaction sequencing. The practical effect is that transaction ordering handled by BAM nodes stays separate from the execution work validators perform, creating a cleaner division of labor in Solana’s block-building pipeline.

By routing transaction sequencing through TEE-protected BAM nodes, Jito aims to reduce the opportunities for harmful MEV extraction while still allowing validators to earn from the legitimate value their position in the network creates. Preconfirmations extend that logic: instead of extracting value from transaction ordering, validators monetize the speed of their committed transaction data.

What this means for the Solana ecosystem

The immediate beneficiaries are the validators already running BAM clients. A new revenue stream that requires no additional hardware, just a software client upgrade, is about as close to free money as infrastructure economics gets. The stake-proportional distribution means larger validators earn more in absolute terms, but the percentage return should be roughly uniform across participants.

For traders and applications consuming the preconfirmation streams, the value proposition is straightforward: faster data means better execution. Market makers can update quotes more quickly. Arbitrageurs can act on price discrepancies before slower participants. Liquidation bots can trigger positions with greater precision.
