Concentrate your holdings into Bitcoin
Remixpoint stated that the purpose of this portfolio adjustment is to concentrate its cryptocurrency holdings and establish Bitcoin as the core asset under the company’s holding and operational strategy. After the sale, the company’s remaining cryptocurrency assets consist of approximately 1,506 BTC.
This Bitcoin strategy is not a temporary decision. Since 2024, Remixpoint has consistently increased its Bitcoin allocation. By November 2024, the company’s portfolio included BTC, ETH, SOL, AVAX, DOGE, and XRP, with a Bitcoin holding of 215.76 BTC. By December of the same year, after an additional purchase of 2 billion JPY, its Bitcoin balance rose to 282.87 BTC.
After entering 2025, the company continued to increase its investment. In May, Remixpoint approved an additional ¥1 billion for Bitcoin purchases, raising its total approved cryptocurrency investment to ¥12 billion. Two months later, the company announced a fundraising plan to raise approximately $215 million to further increase its Bitcoin exposure. At the time, its Bitcoin holdings amounted to about 1,051 BTC.
Staking and lending previously generated income.
Before liquidation, ETH and SOL also generated staking income for the company. The company disclosed that, between July 16, 2025, and August 31, 2026, ETH staking rewards amounted to approximately ¥10.93 million and SOL staking rewards amounted to approximately ¥18.94 million, totaling approximately ¥29.87 million, all received in Japanese yen.
Bitcoin lending activities have also begun generating revenue. According to the September 2 filing, the company earned 14.92055902 BTC from lending activities between February 24 and August 31, valued at approximately JPY 164.22 million based on disclosed metrics. In August alone, lending income reached 2.48356398 BTC, valued at approximately JPY 31.15 million.
Consider allocating cashed-out funds toward energy storage initiatives.
The company disclosed that the proceeds of 8.7881 billion yen from this sale will be used to evaluate and support future growth areas, including grid-scale energy storage battery assets. Remixpoint also noted that the funds may be used to strengthen the financial foundation and other initiatives aimed at enhancing company and shareholder value.
Japanese public companies have continued to advance their Bitcoin treasury strategies in recent years. The article notes that after increasing its holdings by 2,823 Bitcoin in the second quarter of 2026, Metaplanet’s total Bitcoin reserve reached 43,000 BTC. The company also completed its acquisition of Siiibo Securities in July and launched Metaplanet Securities, planning to develop bonds and digital credit products tied to its Bitcoin treasury.
Additional information: Remixpoint previously attracted attention when its CEO, Yoshihiko Takahashi, chose to receive his salary in Bitcoin. At the time, the company stated that it would first purchase an equivalent amount of Bitcoin based on his salary and then transfer it to him.
