Odaily Planet Daily reports that on August 7, Grayscale withdrew its ETF registration applications for Cardano (ADA), Hedera (HBAR), and Polkadot (DOT) in succession, with the withdrawal filings submitted approximately 190 seconds apart.
All three withdrawal filings state that Grayscale no longer plans to proceed with the issuance of the related ETF shares, and that the respective registration statements have not become effective, no securities have been issued or sold, and no preliminary prospectus has been released. This withdrawal is not due to the SEC rejecting the ETF applications, and the filings do not disclose the underlying reasons.
As of August 8, Grayscale’s ETF applications for altcoins such as Bittensor, Aave, BNB, NEAR, and Zcash remain in preliminary stages. Previously, Grayscale’s Avalanche Staking ETF and Hyperliquid Staking ETF registration statements became effective in March and June of this year, respectively. However, the effectiveness of the registration statements does not mean the products have begun trading. (Cryptoslate)
