U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs lost $542.1 million in the week ending October 9, their worst week since January. The losses extended a nine-session outflow streak to $697.2 million, according to The Block’s analysis of SoSoValue data. Ether traded near $2,506 on Saturday morning. Bitcoin and Solana funds also recorded withdrawals, pointing to broader pressure across crypto investments.

Ethereum ETFs Face Heavy Redemptions Led by BlackRock

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust, known as ETHA, accounted for $477 million in weekly withdrawals. That represented about 88% of the total pulled from Ethereum ETFs. Grayscale’s ETHE followed with $31.9 million in outflows.

Tuesday produced the largest daily loss, with $201.9 million leaving ETHA. The redemptions coincided with the fund’s one-for-three reverse share split. A reverse split changes the number and price of shares, not the value of an investor’s holding by itself.

The sector’s net assets fell 10% to $15.71 billion. Even so, Ethereum ETFs retained $13.26 billion in cumulative net inflows since launch. Their 2026 net inflows stood at $931.8 million, showing that the recent selling has not erased earlier demand.

Bitcoin and Solana ETF Losses Point to Wider Risk Aversion

Bitcoin ETFs recorded $681.1 million in weekly outflows, breaking a three-week winning run. Solana funds lost $24.8 million and ended 14 consecutive weeks of inflows. Together with Ethereum ETFs, these categories saw roughly $1.25 billion leave in five sessions.

Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for $20.9 million of Solana’s withdrawals. Its share of the selling highlights how a few major products can dominate headline fund flows.

The next trading sessions will show whether withdrawals persist or stabilize. Ethereum ETFs also saw weekly trading volume climb to $5.18 billion from $3.57 billion, indicating more fund activity despite the net selling.
