Coinbase has launched stock trading and prediction markets, aiming to become the top financial app. The update, announced Dec. 17, lets users trade stocks, ETFs, and crypto in one account, with perpetual futures and price prediction markets. Prediction markets, powered by Kalshi, cover events like elections and sports. Coinbase also revealed Coinbase Tokenize for real-world asset tokenization and expanded access to Solana DEX, Base App, and AI tools. CEO Brian Armstrong said the goal is to merge traditional finance and crypto.
