Cardano’s governance committee approved Pyth’s Lazer Oracle integration to boost DeFi capabilities. Charles Hoskinson announced the move on December 11, marking the first major action under the new governance model. The five-member group, including Input Output and Cardano Foundation, greenlit the project for a 2026 launch. Pyth’s Lazer Oracle will deliver fast, reliable market data for DeFi apps like perpetual contracts. Hoskinson said the step is key to making Cardano a top DeFi platform. What is governance? It’s the system guiding major decisions on-chain.
