Derived from MetaEra, BNB Chain announced on October 22 that it will launch a new client, Reth, developed in Rust, to improve network performance and support long-term scalability. The current Erigon client is stable and storage-efficient but faces issues such as slower synchronization, higher resource consumption, and database bloat during data migration. Node operators are advised to upgrade hardware, optimize startup parameters, and keep versions updated to mitigate these problems. The new Reth client is designed for high performance and parallel processing, expected to significantly enhance the BSC network's efficiency.
