In accordance with 36 Crypto, BPCE, one of France’s largest banking groups, is set to integrate cryptocurrency trading into its mobile apps, allowing retail customers to buy and sell major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and USDC. The service will initially launch for 2 million customers across four regional banks and is expected to expand to all 12 million customers by 2026. The trading will be facilitated through BPCE’s digital asset subsidiary, Hexarq, with a monthly fee of 2.99 euros and a 1.5% transaction commission. The move comes amid growing competition from crypto-friendly fintechs and as European banks increasingly adopt digital asset services.
