ChainThink reports that, on July 24, according to official announcements, BNB Chain has released its technology roadmap for the second half of 2026, planning to advance three core objectives: doubling the mainnet throughput again, reducing inter-application interference through advanced resource isolation mechanisms, and optimizing the gas fee structure to lower onboarding costs for enterprise users.
Specific measures include implementing BEP-675, introducing dedicated channel solutions, advancing BAL-based parallel execution, and implementing granular gas fee adjustments tailored to specific industries.
BNB Chain states that its long-term goal for mainnet throughput is to increase by 10 times.
BNB Chain reported that in the first half of 2026, BSC reduced its block interval from 750 milliseconds to 450 milliseconds, decreased finality time from 1,125 milliseconds to 650 milliseconds, and increased baseline throughput from approximately 2,800 TPS to 5,200 TPS.
The BSC Rust client has achieved full compatibility with Reth v2.0, with performance improved by 2x.
In addition, BNB Chain is developing its next-generation L1 architecture, targeting over 100,000 TPS, transaction pre-confirmation under 50 milliseconds, a TxStream mechanism without a public mempool, PriorityLane for reserving block space via on-chain governance, and native privacy transactions at the protocol level.
The architecture is scheduled to launch on the testnet by the end of 2026 and on the mainnet in early 2027.
