Market news emerged in late August as BlackRock’s BUIDL fund reclaimed the top position in the tokenized U.S. Treasury market with $2.8 billion in AUM. The fund, which operates across eight blockchains, now holds 18.5% of the $15.1 billion market. Previously surpassed by Circle’s USYC in March 2026, BUIDL regained its lead through a $1 target net asset value and daily rebalancing. The top altcoin news highlights the fund’s strong resurgence in a highly competitive landscape.

According to Huoxing Finance, the asset size of BlackRock’s BUIDL fund has rebounded to approximately $2.8 billion, surpassing Circle’s USYC once again to become the largest tokenized U.S. Treasury product. BUIDL accounts for about 18.5% of the $15.1 billion tokenized U.S. Treasury market. Launched in March 2024 and managed by blockchain asset services firm Securitize, BUIDL now operates across eight blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Aptos, and BNB Chain. Each token aims for a net asset value of $1 and accumulates daily returns through a rebalancing mechanism. BUIDL was overtaken by USYC in March 2026 but regained the top position by the end of August. Its underlying assets include cash, short-term U.S. Treasuries, and repurchase agreements; Moody’s awarded the fund an AAA-mf rating earlier this year.
