Bitcoin price today fell below $85,000 on Thursday afternoon, dragging down the broader crypto market. The decline pushed Bitcoin to a three-week low of $84,500 and pulled Ethereum below $2,800. CoinGlass reported $561.91 million in crypto price positions were liquidated in 24 hours, with longs hit hardest. Bitcoin and Ethereum led the losses, with $195.82 million and $148.16 million in leveraged trades closed, respectively. Analysts warned a sustained drop below $85,000 could send Bitcoin toward $80,000. Some blamed large players for the sell-off, while others called it normal volatility.
