U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of $386.3 million through the first seven trading days of October, according to Decrypt's ETF tracker. Ethereum ETFs lost $635 million so far in October. Solana ETFs recorded net outflows of $24.8 million for October.
Decrypt's ETF tracker showed that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $21.1 million on Friday. Bitcoin ETFs lost $484.9 million on Wednesday, the funds' worst day since June. Bitcoin ETFs lost another $244.1 million on Thursday. Bitcoin ETFs attracted $292.6 million across October 1 and 2. Bitcoin ETFs attracted $118.8 million on October 6, but that inflow could not offset the subsequent selling.
October's Bitcoin ETF flows represent a sharp reversal from September. The Senate's failed cloture vote on the Clarity Act triggered heavy outflows in mid-September. Bitcoin ETFs subsequently recorded nine consecutive trading sessions of inflows worth roughly $3 billion. That sequence returned 2026 year-to-date flows to positive territory. Decrypt's tracker put Bitcoin ETFs' cumulative net inflows since launch at $57.6 billion. Decrypt's tracker put Bitcoin ETFs' total net assets at $100.6 billion.
Ethereum ETFs lost $56.1 million on Friday, extending the funds' outflow streak to nine consecutive trading days. Ethereum ETFs lost nearly $700 million over the full streak. Ethereum ETFs recorded the streak's largest single-day outflow, $201.9 million, on October 6. Ethereum ETFs' cumulative net inflows since launch stand at $13.2 billion. Ethereum ETFs hold $14.5 billion in total net assets.
Solana ETFs lost $3.8 million on Friday, marking the funds' fifth consecutive day of outflows. Solana ETFs' only inflow this month was $1.3 million on October 2. Solana ETFs' cumulative net inflows stand at $137.9 million.
Crypto asset ETFs allow investors to gain exposure to digital currencies without using crypto exchanges or wallets. The funds track asset prices and trade like stocks through brokerage applications. Crypto asset ETFs have been very successful since launch. Flows into and out of the funds have become a reliable measure of current market sentiment.
