Aptos has proposed AIP-137 to add post-quantum signatures as an optional account type. The plan uses SLH-DSA, a FIPS 205 standard. Users can choose to adopt the new signature method without affecting existing accounts. The move aims to strengthen crypto security against future threats. Solana previously partnered with Project Eleven for similar post-quantum upgrades. What is post-quantum crypto? It refers to cryptographic methods resistant to quantum computing attacks.
