On-chain reports indicate that a suspected private key compromise of the 79thVault hot wallet on BNB Chain resulted in a $12.5 million loss. According to DefiMon Alerts, the attacker transferred 2.01 million 79AU tokens across seven transactions and later liquidated them in 95 trades, reducing the USDT reserve from $15.2 million to $3.9 million. The attacker also sent 3.79 BNB and 500,000 79AU to other addresses. While Federal Reserve news remains a key driver of broader market sentiment, this incident underscores immediate risks in DeFi security.
