Vietnam expects to issue its first cryptocurrency service licenses in 2026 under a pilot regulatory framework, paving the way for digital asset platforms to begin operations. The regulatory mechanism will focus on risk management, investor asset protection, trading oversight, and anti-money laundering. Vietnam and Austria also plan to strengthen cooperation, share financial regulatory experience, and coordinate through IOSCO. Do you think Vietnam will have an exchange licensed in 2026? I suspect the first licensed exchange won’t come until after 2027.
