Q&A from KuCoin to Elympics
Q: What is Elympics, and what core problem does it solve in Web3 gaming?
Tom: Elympics is a multichain entertainment infrastructure layer that allows game developers to build multiplayer games supercharged with blockchain without any prior knowledge on building Web3 games. It brings 2.000.000 Unity game developers to Web3 gaming.
For players, it provides a unique rewards model called Play2Win that is for the first time sustainable and not dependent on token inflations.
Q: What is Play2Win, and how is it different from Play2Earn models?
Tom: Play2Win is a model where people compete against each other by paying entry fees to challenges and tournaments. These fees are building up the prize pools for the winners.
Unlike inflation-heavy Play2Earn models (unsustainable), Play2Win is designed for longevity:
- Zero Emissions: Rewards come from player entry fees, not token printing.
- Balanced Ecosystem: Developers, organizers and the protocol take a cut; the rest forms the prize pool.
- Aligned Incentives: Skill, not speculation, drives success. Sustainable because it’s built upon repeat play and competition, not hype cycles.
There are 3 core principles here:
1. Players compete for real value (not just digital perks)
2. Developers monetize engagement (taking % of entry fees)
3. The treasury supports long-term buybacks that will drive value of $ELP - Play2Win builds the token value
Q: How does Elympics make it easier for game developers to build Web3 games?
Tom: I believe this post is a good kickstarter:
In a nutshell, Elympics removes all blockchain & multiplayer complexity for game developers. It provides ready to use:
- Multiplayer networking engine
- Cloud hosting
- Matchmaking
- Security & anticheat
- Blockchain-powered monetization templates
- Deployment to multiple platforms (ie. Telegram, Abstract Portal, browsers etc.)
It's an all-in-one tool for game developers to build, scale & monetize Web3 games with ease. Multichain, multiplatform and with support in distribution.
Q: What are the main roles of the $ELP token within the Elympics ecosystem?
Tom: There are several roles including:
Game Access
- Developers must lock $ELP to use Elympics infrastructure and monetize games.
Node Operations (future use case)
- Node operators stake $ELP to host and verify matches and get rewarded for that.
Gameplay Verification
$ELP enables verified match results via oracles and replay review requests that require $ELP burns.
Premium Features
- Locked $ELP unlocks perks like instant match access and higher competition stakes, boosting reputation score that impacts matchmaking.
Staking & Airdrops
- Users stake $ELP in Vaults for access to token-gated airdrop campaigns from games, protocol and ecosystem partners.
Revenue Buybacks
- Treasury uses protocol fees to buy back $ELP and support token value.
Governance
- $ELP holders vote on protocol upgrades and grant program allocations.
Token-Gated Data
- $ELP required to access live gameplay data for AI tools, streaming platforms and other third party services.
Q: What’s the most exciting features and/or partnerships we can expect from Elympics in the coming months?
Tom: We are deeply synergising now with Abstract Ecosystem (it’s alpha, hasn’t been announced yet. Flagship game built on Elympics: Pungu Clash by Pudgy Penguins is already top3 game on entire Abstract Portal after only 1 week!
As for features, we are building a robust reputation system with Verified Players Badges - features that will allow us to benefit most of our reward programs in the ecosystem. Obviously it will be connected with current programs ie Alpha Club.
More to that, in Q4 we will be expanding into other major chain and support their new mobile device (another alpha)
We are also experimenting with multiple different Play2Win game modes.
Ahh one more, we have 2 new hollywood IP’s to be disclosed!
And in the first half of September there's an upcoming game release. Hint: 🐶.
Free-Ask from the KuCoin Community to Elympics
Q: Elympics emphasizes its “Agent-to-Agent token competitions” powered by AI within the Agentic Gaming model. Could you share a concrete use case or prototype where AI-driven agents compete using ELP tokens, and explain how this approach could redefine player engagement compared to traditional gaming ecosystems?
Tom: The AI Gaming model we are currently working on will allow AI agents to compete on behalf of players, powered by smart contracts.
Imagine a game where you can either play yourself or deploy your AI-trained agent that battles 24/7 in tournaments, staking and winning $ELP tokens on your behalf. A concrete prototype will be Pengu Clash AI Arena, where agents will face off under verifiable rules, with each match settled transparently on-chain.
This redefines engagement: Instead of a one-off play session, players now “train and own” persistent AI agents that compete, evolve, and even generate passive rewards—something that traditional ecosystems cannot offer.
By the way, if you haven’t tried Pengu Clash yet, you should.
Q: The Elympics protocol highlights a “Play2Win” token model as a sustainable alternative to the more inflationary “Play-to-Earn” systems. Could you elaborate on how Play2Win maintains long-term sustainability while balancing token supply, player rewards, and user incentives?
Tom: Sure! I will repeat myself a little bit though vs one of the previous questions:
The whole beauty behind Play2Win lies in the fact that rewards are not dependent on any inflationary game tokens.
Money flows in - money flows out. Players pay entry fees, players earn reward pools built by these entry fees.
That's a sustainable model, a zero-sum game. While in P2E players were rewarded by game tokens printed from thin air that led to devaluation of the entire ecosystem, value extraction.
Play2Win is built differently! I hope it makes sense.
Q: Which games are currently deployed on the platform, and how many active players does it have today? Could you also provide key metrics—such as total games played, revenue generated, and number of integrated developers—to help evaluate actual adoption?
Tom: We already have 20+ games integrated into the protocol across casual, hyper-casual, and indie genres.
Just recently we released DoodlesUP - the arcade game by Doodles on Telegram (200k active users)
A prime example is Pengu Clash - cross-chain real-time multiplayer game by Pudgy Penguins. Available on Telegram and Abstract Portal with $TON & $PENGU as play2win currencies.
Pengu Clash channel to learn more and stay informed.
To date, the ecosystem has processed over 500,000 on-chain matches with hundreds of thousands of unique players, more than 7,000,000 total gameplays hosted.
On the developer side, there are over 500+ developer accounts testing with our SDK. Revenue is generated via entry fees and prize pools as well as fees from Smart NFT’s mints.
This is just the beginning though, such numbers were possible with a handful of games and few IP’s.
Imagine what will happen if we have 10x more, or 100x more games & IPs? $ELP token accrues value from all of them, from every match due to % commission that will then be attributed to token buybacks
Q: Community engagement is vital for any platform. What long-term incentive programs or loyalty mechanisms does Elympics plan to implement to keep users active and consistently participating?
Tom: Keeping players and creators engaged long-term is central to our strategy.
Core Mechanics: Reputation, leaderboards, $ELP and fair gameplay form the foundation. Play more, earn trust and better matches.
We see the community as co-owners of the ecosystem. Incentives include:
- Alpha Pass program – Early adopters will enjoy lifetime perks and priority access to the Alpha Pass NFT.
- Tournaments organized by the community where organizers keep a share of prize pools.
- Player scoring system that lets users build reputation and earn better rewards and improved matchmaking
- Long-term - staking vaults + loyalty tiers that unlock exclusive tournaments, skins, and governance rights.
Our approach is to make every user—player, developer, or promoter—financially and emotionally invested in the protocol.
Q: How does Elympics envision its evolution over the next 3–5 years within the Web3 gaming economy, particularly in light of emerging trends such as AI-driven games and metaverse integration?
Tom: Love the question, here you go:
We see Elympics becoming the payment and competition layer for global gaming. In the next 3–5 years:
- AI-driven agents will create new genres of competitive gaming, where training your AI is as engaging as playing yourself.
- Telegram and social gaming will evolve into massive entry funnels, onboarding Web2 users at scale.
- Brand partnerships: we’re working to bring major IPs and entertainment brands into competitive Web3 gaming - first examples include Pudgy Penguins, Doodles, Crypto Banter, Flappy Bird and some yet undisclosed hollywood IP’s
- Protocol expansion: multichain support, decentralized hosting, verifiable gameplay oracles, and AI-powered fraud detection will make us the backbone of skill-based gaming in Web3.
In short - we’re building not just a game platform, but the infrastructure for a new type of competitive entertainment economy.
Q: Many blockchain projects struggle with user adoption. What are Elympics’ key strategies for onboarding both developers and players into its ecosystem?
Tom: Developers: we have BD team + dev Discord.
Players: building games with strong IP’s help as they already have their communities + a lot of virality, PvP gaming is all about challenges = inviting friends, viral by design.
Q: What are the benefits of holding your token as a long-term investment? Could you explain the motivations and advantages for investors to retain the token over time?
Tom: It’s fairly simple - holding $ELP allows you to benefit from all games built on our ecosystem. Revenue generated by the protocol from every game and every match is used for buybacks and, in part, token burns. This means that holding $ELP provides value from two angles: as the ecosystem grows, the token’s value increases, creating long-term benefits for investors.
Q: I want to know if your $ELP token is still available on any exchange, and how I can buy it.
Tom: It’s easy, you can find $ELP on KuCoin. We’re just before a major multi-week marketing campaign — the calm before the storm!
Q: Revenue is critical for any project’s survival and sustainability. How does your project plan to generate profit and revenue?
Tom: A percentage of each game’s entry fees and a portion of all Smart NFT item mints. You may check the Elympics Pricing here.
Q: Can you explain which of the following is your top priority: security, product, partnerships, or token price?
Tom: Different teams have different priorities.
