The Anonymous Cat (ZCAT) memecoin on Solana is drawing attention due to its unique reward mechanism. Every time ZCAT is bought, sold, or transferred, a 3% fee is collected. Most of this fee is converted into Zcash (ZEC) and distributed to wallets holding at least $20 worth of ZCAT. To date, approximately 2,320 ZEC—valued at nearly $2.8 million—has been distributed across over 470,000 reward claims. However, these are not profits from business operations; the rewards come directly from ZCAT transaction fees. Therefore, if trading volume declines, rewards will drop significantly. This mechanism has gained further attention as ZEC has surged over 2,300% in a year and recently surpassed the $1,200 mark.
