According to Cosmos Labs’ post-attack analysis, a researcher reported the vulnerability in April, but evaluators concluded that active networks were not vulnerable and patched the issue without issuing any warning. MANTRA Chain, which lost $3.6 million, published its own post-attack analysis, indicating that the patch was released only 20 hours before the attack began and without specifying the vulnerability that was fixed.
